A Look at Regulation in Insurtech: and Innovations With a Look at the Defense Ecosystem of Iran and the World

Abstract
Fintech and Defense Insurtech are growing well in the world, especially in developed countries, and several measures have been taken to understand, develop, and address its challenges. This article, which was written using a library research method, addresses innovations in the field of Insurtech and its regulation and explains the need to boldly use innovations and technologies available in Insurtech because this synergy between the insurance industry and emerging technologies provides opportunities that benefit both customers and policyholders, as well as Armed forces insurers and regulators in this field.
In order to achieve positive developments in the Iranian insurance industry, this article, while referring to some global experiences, examines the Iranian ecosystem in the field of insurtech, especially from a regulatory perspective. Emphasizing that rapid developments are occurring and we are witnessing exponential growth of fintech applications, it shows the importance of updating the regulation in this field. By describing examples of global practices in this field, it provides suggestions for addressing existing challenges so that by incorporating new technological tools such as big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, augmented reality, etc. in insurtech and its regulatory system, while enhancing customer experience and providing quality services, it also improves compliance with laws and reducing losses caused by moral hazards.
