The present study aims to explain sociologically the strategies for dealing with the role of virtual social networks in cognitive warfare and has been conducted using quantitative content analysis and grounded theory methods. For this purpose, a strategy for dealing with virtual social networks in cognitive warfare has been developed through interviews with 36 professors in the field of media and communications and members of the Supreme Virtual Council of the country. The results indicate that these strategies should be in four areas: policymaking, hardware and software, culture, awareness and education, so that by empowering the audience against the harms of using this media, they can create the ability to consciously and analytically cope with the dangers of social networks. And finally, the present research has reached an approach that is based on the attention and focus on the audience and receiver of the message, instead of just paying attention to the sender of the message. Therefore, it must be said that the lack of attention or lack of attention to the audience of social networks can cause problems for our national security at the micro, medium and macro levels. With a cultural and social attitude and with a determination to solve existing issues and problems, presence, participation and active confrontation in this area should replace passive observation.
